You are warmly invited to our school assemblies. Children really enjoy having your there! It is a message that what they do at school is important to you.
Whole school assembly is every second week. Classes are rostered to organise and host assemblies. Special assemblies are held to commemorate events such as NAIDOC week, Anzac Day, Harmony Day etc. We sing the school song at the end of each assembly.
At School assemblies students also sing the Australian National Anthem and complete a ceremonial ‘Welcome to Country’, acknowledging the Ngunnawal People.
ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR
Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.
Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Palmerston School Song
Where the rolling hills
Meet the limestone plains,
The Ngunnawal people live
Then the Palmer's came
To farm the land
Now we share this ancestry.
We are Palmerston Primary
Wearing Blue and Green
With pride we sing this song,
Learning and caring,
Giving and sharing,
We're striving towards our dream.
In peace and understanding,
We'll sing this song to say
At Palmerston we'll do our best everyday,
At Palmerston we'll do our best everyday!!
