We are pleased to announce the return of Market Day. Market Day is a K-6 fundraising event which is hosted by the Year 6 students. Stalls are planned, prepared and run by the Year 6 students. Information about these stalls will be advertised in the coming weeks. Money raised goes back into the school’s learning and play spaces, and will contribute to the Year 6 Fun day expenses. All students from K-5 are given the opportunity to purchase tickets for their child to use at the stalls. Tickets cost $15 for 6 or $3 for one ticket. Tickets for Market Day will be sold at the Black top every morning between 8.45am and 9.15am and every afternoon between 2.45pm and 3.15pm during Week 7. EFTPOS is available. There are two markets; a K-2 Market (9.30-11am) and a 3-5 Market (12.15- 1.45pm), both on the same day. Year 6 students will be manning and running their stalls. Students who will be participating in the Water Stalls will need to bring a change of clothes. There will be a Sausage Sizzle on the day that students can use a ticket for, that we anticipate will be for their lunch.
The ACT Education Directorate are supporting all ACT schools to provide teachers and school staff with two planning days this term. This will provide our staff with the time to further develop rigorous learning programs and fulfil Term 4 assessment and planning requirements.
If your child is required to be onsite during the Staff Planning Day, please contact the Front Office on 6142 1440 or email PDPS ( info_palmdps@ed.act.edu.au ) with your child/children's details. This is so the school can ensure there is adequate supervision in place, for the safety of the students.
