| Description | Students this semester in Year 4 are working on an Inquiry Unit about waterways, food chains and the water cycle. Students will walk from Palmerston District Primary School to The Valley Ponds Gungahlin near the Birralee Scout Hall. Students will walk on footpaths and cross the road using the underpass and pedestrian lights. Once at the Ponds they will be joined by the Water Watch team who will guide them in experiments and investigations around the pond. Students will have recess and lunch in the area and then walk back to school. Birralee Scout Hall will be open for toilets and for shelter if required. Details of the excursion are as follows: Venue: The Valley Ponds Gungahlin & Birralee Scout Hall Date: Wednesday 30th April 2025 Transport: Walking Via footpaths and using the underpass/pedestrian lights Departure: 9:15 am Return: 2:30 pm Cost: $1.00 Items to bring: School bag with raincoat, drink bottle, recess, lunch, sun safe hat and sunscreen. |
