English as an Additional Language or Dialect

English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D)

Our students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) are supported, in their classrooms, in small group sessions and one-to-one, where required. Teachers have specific expertise in language development and work collaboratively with the EAL/D teacher to assess and support EAL/D students to access and engage with the curriculum.

We use comprehensive assessments of literacy and numeracy, from whole school assessment data, teacher assessment and system assessment data, to identify the needs of our children. More information can be found here!
