ENROLLING/TRANSFERRING – ACT PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Parents/carers are welcome to apply to enrol/transfer their child at any time during the school year using an online application form. Full details are available from the Education website.
Once you have received an offer of enrolment, you accept the offer ‘in-writing’ and arrange with the school to provide the required documentation. The enrolment process cannot be finalised until the school has ‘sighted’ the original documents and they are as follows:
- Your child’s Birth Certificate (original or certified copy)
- Proof of residence (100 points of identification demonstrating place of residence within a Priority Enrolment Area – see table )
- Your child’s immunisation records (contact the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 if you need details)
- Any Family Court or other relevant Court Orders (if relevant)
- Medical Management Plan, if required

PRESCHOOL ENROLMENTS
Enrolments for Preschool for the following year, open annually at the end of April. Children who turn four on or before April 30 can start Preschool at the beginning of that school year.

- Proof of residence (100 points of identification demonstrating place of residence within a Priority Enrolment Area – see table )
- Your child’s immunisation records (contact the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 if you need details)
- Any Family Court or other relevant Court Orders (if relevant)
- Medical Management Plan, if required
The enrolment process cannot be finalised until the school has 'sighted' the required documentation.
Students in our Learning Support Units are enrolled by the Department's Special Education section.

PRIORITY ENROLMENT AREA
The Priority Enrolment Area (PEA) for Palmerston District Primary School includes Palmerston, Crace and part of Nicholls – east of Gungahlin Pond. Please refer to PEA Map
People wishing to attend Palmerston District Primary School who live outside of this area may contact the school on 6142 1440 to make an appointment with the Principal to discuss enrolment possibilities.
