Event Name	Athletics Carnival Years K-6

Description	On Tuesday 2^nd August 2022, Palmerston District Primary School will hold our Annual Athletics Carnival. All students K-6 will participate in running races and shot put and discus throwing. This year we have asked students who wish to compete competitively in events to fill in the attached nomination form and return it to school by Friday 29^th July. Students who don’t wish to compete competitively will still participate in events but will not be timed or have their throw for shot put and discus measured. Students turning 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 or 13 this year will participate all day on the oval. Students in age groups under this will participate in the junior carnival events from 12:15 to 1pm. Parents are welcome to attend if you wish to support and cheer for your child. Please follow COVID safe measures, if you are unwell, please stay home. When: Tuesday 2^nd August 2022. Where: Palmerston Oval. What to bring: Hat, Water bottle, Recess, and Lunch. What to wear: House colours and appropriate running shoes. Time: Years 3-6 9:00-2:30 K-2 from 12:15 Please note, if your child nominates for the 800m, this race will start before school at 8:30. Please meet Mrs Edwards on the oval.
