Dear Parents and Carers,

Our whole school swimming carnival offers competitive and non-competitive experiences for all children from Kindy to Year 6. Families are welcome to attend to cheer on the children in their races.

Children turning 8 years old in 2024 (Born 2016) and older, are invited to compete in all age-appropriate races. When time permits between races, children may have the opportunity to participate in structured shallow water and land-based rotations.

Children from years K, 1 and 2 are invited to participate in structured, shallow water and land-based activities with their class on a rotational roster. This includes cheering on peers as they race and enjoying water park fun.  If your child is in Year 2, turning 8 this year and would like to compete, please collect a 'Competitive Swimmers Form' from the font office.

Competing swimmers are asked to listen for their race during the day and follow the run sheet carefully to not miss their race. A run sheet will be sent via email to all families closer to the day.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed and advertised on Facebook and SeeSaw.

• Venue: Dickson Pool
• Date: Monday 4^th March 2024
• Transport: Bus - Departing PDPS at 9:10am
• Return:  Back at school before 3pm
• Cost:  $14 per Student (Parent/Carer Spectators pay upon entry)
• Items to Bring:  Recess, lunch, water bottle, bag for wet swimmers and towel, dry clothes, goggles if needed, sunscreen, closed shoes for to and from the venue. All items to be labelled with your child’s name. The canteen will not be available at the venue.
