Students in years 2 to 6, who are turning eight years or over this year (born 2015), will have the opportunity to participate in competitive events. If you would like your child to enter races, please discuss with your child the races they would like to compete in and fill in the attached ‘Competitive Races Entry Form’. Students who are not competing will be involved in structured water activities.No “free swim” will occur on the day.
Venue: Dickson Aquatic Centre
Date: Friday 3rd March 2023
Transport: Q City Transit to and from the event
Departure: 9:15am from Palmerston Primary
Return: Buses leave Dickson Aquatic Centre at 2:15pm
Cost: Bus & Pool entry $13
Food: Students are to bring their own recess, lunch, and labelled water bottle.
THE CANTEEN WILL NOT BE OPEN TO PALMERSTON STUDENTS
Clothing: Students are to wear their swimmers to school under their clothes.
Before boarding the bus back to school students will change back into their clothes.
Please also include:
· a labelled wide brimmed hat
· Sun smart clothing (including a swim top)
· Towel and sunscreen
· Dry pair of underwear and socks
ENCLOSED SHOES MUST BE WORN TO AND FROM THE SCHOOL
The Constable Kenny Koala program is all about ensuring children in our community 'Stay OK' by increasing their awareness of the importance of safety and the dangers of not staying safe.
This is primarily achieved through direct engagement with children through school presentations and enlisting the support of parents, teachers and carers.
