During Term 2 Yr 1 students will be learning about diversity. As part of this we are visiting the Wildbark Learning Centre at Mulligans Flat. Students will be expertly guided through the critically endangered ecosystem at Mulligans Flat and experience the sanctuary through four learning stations. These include;
Introduction to Ecological Field Work
Hollow Homes
Indigenous Connection to Country
Bushland Scavenger Hunt
Students will have time to eat their Recess and explore the Wildbark Nature Playground.

On arrival, please make your way to the team area marked by flags for North/Gungahlin District. Ms Amy Dwyer from Burgmann Anglican School is the team official for North Gungahlin District and will be waiting to supervise students.
We are very excited to be able to offer students in Years 5 & 6 the opportunity to participate in a Japanese Taiko Drumming Workshop. During this workshop students will learn the basic skills of Japanese Taiko Drumming through an energetic and hands on session with renowned Taiko instructor Kiyomi Calwell.
To maximise students’ participation in these workshops numbers will be limited to the first 100 students to return their forms and payment.

Did you know that the P&C is run by volunteers? We serve as the link between the parent and caregiving community and the school.
School members are always welcome at the P&C meetings which are twice a term, Tuesday the 9th 1:45pm -2:45pm and Tuesday the 20th June (1:45pm - 2:45pm) this will be Located in pod 10.
We are keen to help re-energise the community around our school, fundraise for some cool things to benefit the students and really get engaged.
Official positions have been filled but we are keen for talented humans to help with specific events and tasks:
- Love BBQing? Come host a Bunnings BBQ one weekend!
- Awesome at graphic design? Help make posters for us!
- Love fetes? Join our fete team!
- Gardening is your gig? Come to the community clean up the school day!
- Love to bake? Help us with the teachers' end of year thank you morning tea in December.
- Bit of an artist? Lots of painting needs to be done around the school to update play spaces!
- Know random stuff? What about being part of the trivia team?
- Writing is your passion? Help us apply for grants by using your beautiful words!
We are planning on a schedule of events for the year and will be looking for people to sign up for what suits them best.
