On Tuesday 1st August 2023, students who have been selected to be in the Palmerston District Primary School Futsal team for Years 5 and 6 will be attending the Capital Football Primary School Futsal Cup, held by Capital Football at Lyneham Netball Centre.
The AMC is a 60-minute problem-solving competition for Middle Primary year 3 & 4 or for Upper Primary years 5 & 6 students.
This competition is for students who wish to challenge themselves and who enjoy solving mathematical problems.The competition will take place on 3rd August during school hours and is an optional activity.

This years Children's Book Week we will be running a variety of activities in the Library to celebrate Australian Books. The culminating event will be the Book Parade.
During Book Week we will be opening the library every afternoon for students and their significant adult to come in and read a book. For students to attend the library they will need to come with an adult.

This year the ACT Primary Schools Japanese Fun Day event will be hosted by Palmerston District Primary School. The day will involve students engaging in multi school groups working with other students learning Japanese across the ACT. Students will undertake a range of activities focussed on Japanese language and culture. Students have been invited to participate and the details are as follows:

"End of Week Preschool" and Kindy to Year 6 Parade will occur at 9:15am
A Book Character Parade is a time to dress up as a book character and showcase your favourite book. Students, teachers and families are encouraged to all dress-up. Costumes do not need to be fancy - think a red and white striped t-shirt and beanie forWhere’s Wally, or a box painted red with a face painted on it forMr Strong.
Students can come along with their class and preview the books they may like to purchase prior to books going on sale at the 2023 Scholastic Book Fair 04 Sept to 07 September.
