The Palmerston District Primary School Cross Country Carnival is part of our PE curriculum and therefore all students are encouraged to participate. We pride ourselves as being inclusive of all students. With this in mind, we ask parents to encourage their children to take part, whether it be running, jogging or walking, attempting to achieve a personal goal by finishing the entire distance for their age. This will ensure the maximum number of students participating and having fun on the day.
Students who are not taking part in the run (e.g., for medical reasons) are asked to bring a signed note explaining that they cannot participate. They will be spectators and can cheer on their house group. Teachers and parents will stand at various checkpoints along the route so that students are always supervised during the event.
